In Year 1, you will learn fundamental skills which are essential for a banking and finance professional, and basic understanding of business management and finance. In Year 2, you will build on your previous knowledge by acquiring a better understanding of financial instruments, procedures, credit management and overall financial system environment. You will also be introduced to the technical aspects of various financial markets through analytical software.
JSBF provides you 3 specializations which are highly industry relevant. In third year, you have the option to choose one of these pathways. Each pathway is a form of specialization and offers electives. A final year Capstone Project will also allow you to explore a topic independently in which you will demonstrate academic and practical aspects of your ability in your chosen area of study.
Optional Pathway 1: Finance and Risk Management
This specialization is ideal for students who are interested in the stock market and enjoy working with numbers. Organizations in India and around the globe are rapidly embracing digital transformation in the form of digital currency, robotic process automation, and extensive use of analytics. This helps drive their financial top line and bottom line in a major way. This pathway prepares the student to understand how to apply these emerging technologies.
